Sometimes it seems as if all Hollywood has turned vegan, either for health issues, animal rights issues, or both. Here are more famous vegans:
Actors and Actresses
Portia De Rossi – De Rossi became a vegetarian after moving to a farm with wife Ellen DeGeneres.
Alec Baldwin – He’s outspoken about many things, but Baldwin lets people know that his vegan diet is a choice due to his love of animals and the environment as well as his personal health.
Olivia Wilde – Not only is Wilde a vegan, she has her own vegan website (Wilde Things).
Sandra Oh – The “Grey’s Anatomy” star often treats castmates to vegan fare at various restaurants around Hollywood.
Mayim Bialik – How Blossom has blossomed! Bialik says that going vegan is her personal way to show that she loves animals.
Ed Begley Jr. – How could you not expect a celeb as green as Begley is to not be vegan? He has been, since 1992.
Tobey Maguire – How did Maguire bulk up for his Spiderman role? Lots and lots of protein-filled tofu.
Emily Deschanel – Deschanel even had vegan food at her wedding.
Lea Michele – The “Glee” star is vegan and supports PETA.
Alicia Silverstone – Silverstone caught flack for her mom feeding habits, but that doesn’t keep the actress from saying that “going vegan is the single best thing I’ve done in my life.”
James Cromwell – Cromwell was a vegetarian for years before deciding to go vegan in 1994.
Jared Leto – An actor, Leto is also the leader of the band “30 Seconds to Mars” – of which all the members are vegan.
Joaquin Phoenix – All the Phoenix children grew up in a less-than-conventional family, so it’s no surprise that Joaquin decided to go vegan after a fishing trip at the young age of 3.
Steve-O – You might not expect a “Jackass” to be a vegan, but you would be wrong in the case of Steve-O, who has been one since 2009.
Tomorrow, the final installment of famous vegans.
