The Magic Kingdom: Where to Meet Characters

There’s a lot of fun to be had attending character meals at the various restaurants and events through Disney World. Sometimes booking a character meal can be a real chore and if you don’t want to struggle with getting the reservations at the specific restaurant that features the specific characters that you want to see – you can still see Disney characters at most of the major attractions around Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

You can see them at the Magic Kingdom more frequently than most of the other parks. There are many areas where you will see the characters wandering around or stationed at perfect spots for photo opportunities. There are also the multitudes of shows and parades where you can get a good look at some of your favorite characters from Mickey Mouse to Cinderella to Aladdin, the Genie and more.

So where in the Magic Kingdom can you find the most characters? Check out Fantasyland and Mickey’s Toontown Fair. You’ll find an assortment of characters in different greeting areas at the Toontown Hall of Fame including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto and Uncle Scrooge to name a few.

During our last visit to Disney World we were a bit frustrated with how hard it was to find Donald Duck. We actually missed his character line once at Epcot and we never saw him outside of a parade at the Magic Kingdom. Donald is a personal family favorite for myself and my husband – but he’s the top of our list for our very next visit.

If you’re looking for a specific group of characters, Disney conveniently labels their presentations at the Town Hall with Disney Pals (Mickey and his friends), 100-Acre Wood Friends (Winnie the Pooh and his friends), Fairy Tale Friends (Beast, Prince Charming, dwarfs and the Princesses), Villains (Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar and more) and Princesses (obvious!).

Where Else?

Head over to Fantasyland where you can meet Ariel in her grotto, Cinderella greets guests at her Royal Table and you can even check out the Character Festival by the lagoon. Characters often wander around and we saw many of them at the main hub near the front gates and Main Street USA. There’s a small gazebo there where you can get plenty of photo and autograph opportunities with favorite characters including Peter Pan, Wendy, Goofy, Max and much more.

Who is your favorite Disney character?
