Are you looking for more information about ancestors who lived in North Dakota? Try some of these North Dakota genealogy resources. Who knows? Maybe one of your ancestors had an interest in gardening!

FamilySearch has a Wiki page about North Dakota. You can find a link to a FamilySearch Wiki page to each and every one of the counties in the state. The page also has links to more FamilySearch Wiki pages about major record repositories within North Dakota. There is information about how to help by expanding the Wiki page.

Facebook has a Community Page for FamilySearch North Dakota Genealogy. This is a great resource for genealogists who want to connect with other genealogists who are also doing North Dakota genealogy research right now. It is also a good place to find information about new or updated North Dakota Genealogy collections that are part of FamilySearch.

Ancestry.com has a page that is filled with links to all of their North Dakota collections of records. In order to access these records, you must have an Ancestry.com membership. Sometimes, a few collections will be offered for free. Return to their page often. Ancestry.com does a great job of making it clear when a collection is new, has been updated, or that are currently being offered for free.

GeneaLinks has a search engine at the top of their page. Select the type of records you want to search through. Choose from: vital, birth, death, marriage, divorce, or “Genealogy”. GeneaLinks also has helpful information for genealogists who are new to North Dakota genealogy. Did you know that all birth records, death records, and marriage registrations are called “vital records”?

Internment.net has cemetery records online. It, too, has a search engine at the top of the page. Start by putting your ancestor’s first and last name into it. Or, you can start by selecting a link to one of counties in North Dakota. If there is a link, it indicates that Internment.net has information about records from cemeteries within that county. At a glance, it appears that the majority do not have information.

Cyndi’s List is probably the most comprehensive list of genealogy links online. If it exists on the internet, Cyndi’s List has it! They have a page called “United States – North Dakota”. Start by selecting one of their categories. Some include: “Birth, Marriage, Death”, “Census”, “Counties”, “Military”, “Newspapers” and more!
