If you are sensing a theme in my blogs today, well – you wouldn’t be wrong. Here’s my last top 10 on the 10th for the Fitness Blog and it involves investing in a treadmill. We’ve talked a lot about treadmills in this blog and I am definitely partial to them. I have one of my own and it’s probably my most used piece of equipment. So here are my top ten reasons to buy a treadmill, remember – this is only my opinion:
- A treadmill at home saves time, I can get my workout in on my schedule and I’m able to talk to my daughter if she wants to flop on the bed in my room and color in her coloring book while I’m doing my hour’s walk
- A treadmill at home means I get to use my favorite piece of equipment without having to pay $50 or more per month at the gym
- A treadmill at home means I don’t have to waste gas to drive to the gym nor do I waste time in transit going back and forth
- A treadmill at home is a useful to everyone in my family, my husband uses it, I use it and even my extended family has come over and used it
- A treadmill at home has been a huge factor in keeping me stuck to my routine, I see it every day, I can’t avoid it and I know when I haven’t used it – not to mention, I can watch my soaps while I’m walking if I want
- A treadmill at home means that I can walk even when the weather is bad (either raining or too hot), I like to walk outside, but a treadmill is a good substitute for me
- A treadmill is easy to adjust for beginners or advanced workouts – I can also switch from a fat burning workout to an endurance building one pretty easily
- A treadmill at home lets me multitask – I can wait for deliveries, I can answer the phone, I can watch T.V. and I’ve even attended phone conferences while walking
- A treadmill at home is a lot easier on my bad knee because of the surface pads on the treadmill runner
- A treadmill may be a costly investment, but they can last ten years or longer – and in the long run, my fitness and health are a lot more priceless to me than that initial investment
Do you have a treadmill at home?
