10 Reasons Why I Love the Toddler Stage

There are multiple reasons why we love our babies and the first and foremost is simply because they exist. The following are the 10 reasons why I love the toddler stage for kids. I’ll ask you for yours after I’ve listed mine. Remember, the toddler stage is roughly between the ages of 12 and 24 months, give or take and it usually begins with their learning to toddle.

10 Reasons Why I Love the Toddler Stage

  • I love their inestimable happiness at the simplest of things – they are delighted by grass and the clapping of hands
  • I love that they cannot fake joy, sadness or anger – their emotions are real and vibrant in their reality
  • I love to look at the world through their eyes, everything is new and fresh
  • I love that I can’t help but smile when I am interacting with them, it’s difficult to foster a bad mood in the presence of their simple joy
  • I love watching their little fingers learn to manipulate new items from toys to buttons they can push
  • I love watching their faces light up as they make a new discovery whether it is stacking items or opening one up
  • I love seeing them master a new skill whether it is walking, crawling or climbing
  • I love that you can distract them from an upset by simply changing a factor or two within their environment
  • I love that they are learning how to hug and to kiss and that as they discover how to demonstrate their affection for you, they are absolutely delighted that they can hug and kiss you and that you respond with hugs and kisses of your own
  • I love the light of intelligence in their eyes as you talk to them and they make those associations between the words you use and the actions, items and people in their environment

These are just some of the reasons why I love the toddler stage. What are yours?
