I’ve always had the perspective that roles come into my life when I need them most and sort of teach me lessons. The same can be true of films, films are released into society to aid in a lesson, inspire people, comfort people. – Bryce Dallas Howard
Call me out of the loop, but I was not even aware that Ron Howard had a daughter who acted until I saw The Village. If you have seen that movie, you cannot help but notice Bryce Dallas Howard. In her first real starring role, Bryce was so realistic as the blind girl who takes on the “monster” in the forest. Bryce attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and also studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory. She graduated from the Tisch School with a BFA in Drama in 2003.
She is an unconventionally beautiful actress, having her fathers’ red hair and fair skin. That’s not the only thing Bryce got from Dad Ron. She also has the ability to do her job, do it very well, and still not register on the gossip pages. You never see Bryce on the cover of the National Enquirer leaving some party or dating a new guy.
In fact, Bryce married her long time boyfriend on June 17 according to OK! Magazine, but I couldn’t find anything about it anywhere except the Internet Movie Database. Not that I doubt she got married, just that this is how she chooses to live her life, low-key.
Bryce is currently filming Spiderman 3 in which she will via for Peter Parker’s attention against Mary Jane Watson. You will be able to see her next time on the big screen in M. Night Shyamalan’s Lady in the Water. In this, she will play the mysterious young woman rescued by a building manager who turns out to be a narf (a bedtime character who is trying to get back from our world to hers).
Bryce Dallas Howard fact you may not have known: Henry Winkler, who starred with Ron in “Happy Days” is Bryce’s godfather.
