Money Camp…the camp that lasts a lifetime. That’s the motto for a new kind of summer camp for kids whose mission is to “empower people to create financial freedom in their lives.”

What is Money Camp? Money Camp is a non-profit summer camp for kids where “financial literacy meets entertainment.” through games, activities, and field trips. Participants learn about things like economics, budgets, how money is made, and how beliefs and attitudes influence money.

Who started Money Camp? Money Camp was the idea of Elisabeth Donati and she was assisted in its formation by a Board of Directors that includes people with various expertises. The first Money Camp was held in 2002.

How long does Money Camp Last? Money Camps are typically day camps that are held Monday through Friday. Camps are also offered a schools, and during Saturday only sessions. An online Money Camp is in the works.

How much does Money Camp cost? Week-long day camps range in price from $185-$259/child. Scholarships are available.

Is Money Camp available for adults? Yes, Money Camp is offered on a limited basis for adults. A new Family Camp is being unveiled as well.

Where is Money Camp offered? Currently, programs are running the following states: California, North Carolina, and Texas, as well as Canada and Mexico. The goal is to have Money Camps all over the U.S. by 2008.
