Out With the Old, In With the New

Fitness

This is it…are you ready?  Out with the old and in with the new.  It’s that time of year again.  It’s a New Year with new beginnings to look forward to, new goals to set and a new you to strive for.

But before we can really charge ahead, we need to look back.  What did the year 2012 bring to you in the way of fitness and health?  Was it filled with stress, sleepless nights and backaches?

Did you find yourself doing battle with the scale?  Was your exercise program nothing more than a noble attempt?  Or was it all a big joke?

Perhaps you received an upsetting diagnosis—diabetes or heart disease.  It was a year filled with doctor appointments and medications.

Maybe you put on several pounds.  Or it could be that you had the best year ever and lost a significant amount of weight.

Did you feel stronger this past year—physically, emotionally and spiritually?  Or were you depleted in every way?

Are you ready to be out with the old?  Out with the old excuses, old struggles, old challenges?

If so, then you are truly ready to bring in something new—new attitudes, new motivation, and new challenges that you will be ready to meet head-on.  What about developing a new perspective on what fitness really means to you?

Is it just about wearing a certain size or reaching a certain weight?  Or does it go deeper?  Do you really believe happiness is based on what you look like on the outside?  Or is there more to you than that?

Do you feel ready to set new goals that are achievable yet force you to get out of your comfort zone?  Is there something new you have wanted to try but fear stood in the way?

Are you ready to let go of the old?  Are you ready to embrace the new?  Believe that 2013 is your year!  It’s time…out with the old and in with the new.
