You can save some money on your grocery bill when you use coupons. Of course, that will only work if the store you shop at is willing to accept the coupons you have brought with you. It is always a good idea to check out the coupon policy of the store you want to shop at before you go. The coupon policy can change at any time, and without warning. Here is what you need to know about the coupon policy at Kroger.
Digital Coupons
* In order to use digital coupons at Kroger, you must have an active online account and a valid associate shopping card.
* You must present your valid shoppers card or an alternate ID at the time of purchase in order to use digital coupons.
* Digital coupons will be deducted from your purchase prior to paper coupons or other discounts.
* There is a limit of one use per digital coupon per transaction.
* You cannot combine digital coupons or offers with manufacturer paper coupons on the purchase of a single item.
* Digital offers do not double.
* There is a limit of 150 coupons that can be loaded per household at one time.
* Kroger will not accept digital reproductions of offers. This includes using a mobile application to reproduce an image of an offer or coupon.
* The store manager at Kroger has the right to accept, decline, or limit the use of ANY digital coupon or offer.
Manufacturer Coupons
* Kroger is in the process of changing how it uses manufacture coupons (and other paper coupons).
* Exactly when that change begins depends on where you live. (Each region is making that change on a different time frame).
* Kroger is discontinuing its double coupons program for manufacturer coupons.
Other Things to Know
* Kroger is going to be lowering its prices on “everyday items”. You will not need a coupon to get that new, lower, price.
* Kroger is putting more effort into offering downloadable, “clip-free” coupons from their website. (See the digital coupon policy above for more details).
* Kroger is going to have special sales events, including a “Mega Event” and and “Cart Busters”.
* There is a fuel savings program that offers up to $1.00 off per gallon at Kroger Fuel Centers.
* Customers can get $0.10 off per gallon of gas at participating Shell stations.
Those new offers are, in a way, taking place of the previous coupon policy at Kroger regarding paper coupons and manufacturer coupons. Some feel that these new changes are great. Others lament the loss of the ability to double manufacturer coupons.
