Each time I make my way to the Walt Disney World resort, I make it a point to call the resort’s Advanced Dining Reservation hotline and make reservations for meals throughout my stay. It wasn’t always that way, however.
In the past, I’d trek down to Florida, spend my day at the park and either wait an hour or so for a table at a restaurant I wanted to try or finally give up and do counter service. Until I started using Disney’s Advanced Reservation service, that is.
The perks of calling 407-W-DINE either before your vacation or after you arrive are worth taking the time to make the reservations. Within each theme park, Downtown Disney and a number of Walt Disney World resorts, there are restaurants that allow for Advanced Dining Reservations. When you called the ADR hotline, your Disney representative will help you make reservations for restaurants throughout your stay.
In the past, I’ve not had any trouble making reservations a month out from my stay. However, I generally choose less crowded times to travel to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you’ll be staying at the Walt Disney World Resort late May through Mid-August, the week of Christmas through New Years or Spring Break, I highly recommend making dining reservations at least two months out. The Walt Disney World Resort allows for dining reservations to be made 180 days prior to your visit. If, however, you’ve arrived at your Walt Disney World resort without making reservations, the concierge at your resort can also help you secure dining reservations.
Having Advanced Dining Reservations allows you to better plan your stay at the Walt Disney World resort and enables you to see more attractions as you won’t be spending hours waiting for a table in your preferred restaurant. ADRs are just one more way of making your Walt Disney World vacation more memorable.
You can begin making dining reservations for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation by calling 407-W-DINE. Make sure to have dates and restaurant names on hand before calling.
