Brad and Angelina’s Wax Baby

The baby whose birth was heralded around the world (at least by the paparazzi) has been immortalized in wax. A figure of two-month-old Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, daughter of mega-couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt went on display Wednesday at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in New York City. According to PEOPLE Magazine, Baby Shiloh is the museum’s first-ever infant replica.

The wax version of Shiloh rests in a woven basket in a jungle-themed nursery as soft African lullabies play in the background (you’ll remember that Jolie gave birth to her first biological child in Namibia). While wax baby Shiloh sleeps, her parents (also immortalized in wax) stand over her. The wax family is housed at the international museum’s branch in Times Square. A ticket to take a peek at what the museum calls “the world’s most famous baby” costs about $30.

Thirty bucks will allow you to see the just-unveiled wax infant (which took two weeks to create) whose pouty lips resemble her mother’s, but it won’t get you a picture with the famous family. That memento will cost you $1 more. The dollar fee will then be donated to UNICEF.

The donation keeps with the charitable theme that the couple set soon after Shiloh was born. Lest you forget, Jolie and Pitt sold the first pictures of the real Shiloh to PEOPLE Magazine for a reported $4 million, saying all proceeds would be donated to charity. They famous couple also gave $300,000 to help government-run hospitals in Namibia.

The couple and the museum are hoping visitors will be willing to shell out the extra dollar to get their photo taken with the paparazzi-plagued family if for no other reason than the fact that at just 8 weeks old, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt has received a tribute once reserved for world leaders. A fact that’s not lost on museum officials who say: “Even though she’s just a few months old, Shiloh is already an iconic figure in world popular culture.”

Pitt and Jolie, who say they have no immediate plans to marry, have two other children, Zahara, 1, and Maddox, 4. Those children are not on display.
