Recently, I blogged about Cher auctioning off 200 pieces from her extensive wardrobe and costume collection, including outfits featured on “The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour” and an original Mackie-designed gown she wore to Oscars. Part of the money raised will benefit the Cher Charitable Foundation. Now word comes that former 90210 star Tori Spelling is also selling her clothes… on Ebay. Only the profits will not be going to aid needy children, rather it will aid Spelling’s pocketbook. (See my blog: “Poor Little Rich Girl.”)
The sale comes on the heels of the recent reading of her father’s (famed TV producer Aaron Spelling) will, in which she was awarded less inheritance than she thought she deserved. Various entertainment magazines photographed Spelling at pawnshops last week. Now she has 86 pieces of clothing on Ebay. If you are a size 2 or just want a piece of clothing worn by the former Donna Martin then get your wallets out. Almost all of the items are designer brands from Juicy Couture to Marc Jacobs and season appropriate (which means there are a lot of skin baring blouses and dresses). Some of the items up for bid include a black Miu Miu minidress priced at $76, and an elegant lace Tracy Reese blazer listed at $53.
If those prices are still a bit too steep then you may want to head over to Target (this is a store frequented by many Families.com forum chatters). Their Go International site features an incredible hip-n-cheap designer line. The latest one is from Paul and Joe, which is known for “pretty French chic, witty prints and easy to wear shapes.” While you can find their merchandise in department stores for hundreds of dollars, at Target some of the same styles are priced under $50. Some of the hottest buys include wool plaid ponchos, trendy kimono dresses, and fabulous floral blouses.
Oh and ladies, we bargain hunters aren’t the only ones jumping on the Target bandwagon, celebrity fans include Kristen Bell and Ali Landry, who recently hit the launch party for the Target pop-up store in Los Angeles.
