Paris Hilton’s Exotic Animal Sends Her To The Hospital

Perhaps Paris Hilton should have read Aimee’s blog on exotic animals. The hotel heiress made an emergency trip to the hospital this week and she has her pet kinkajou Baby Luv to thank for it. Hilton’s publicist told news reporters that the raccoon-like animal bit Hilton on her left arm. The 25-year-old “Simple Life” star was not badly hurt, but did receive a tetanus shot before leaving the hospital.

According to her publicist, Hilton was playing with her exotic pet early Tuesday morning “the way some people play with their cats and dogs” when the animal became excited and sunk its teeth into her arm. The wound caused enough bleeding that Hilton called for help and was taken to the hospital.

And lest you think her injury would cause the “Paris Express” to grind to a halt, think again. The actress/singer apparently felt well enough to continue promoting her highly anticipated debut album “Paris,” set for release later this month. (I highly doubt Hilton’s business handlers would have smiled upon a decision to cancel any of her promotion appearances since the budding singing sensation’s single “Stars Are Blind” has already jumped up Billboard’s dance music charts.)

Meanwhile, it looks as though Hilton is on the road to a complete recovery.

“Yesterday she did two photo shoots and two magazine covers,” Hilton’s publicist said. “She’s OK, she’s fine. Anyone in this situation would do well to have the wound looked at.”

As for Baby Luv (Hilton’s exotic pet), reports indicate a veterinarian checked the animal, though no one would comment about its current condition. All Hilton’s publicist would say is that all parties involved were surprised with Baby Luv’s actions.

“I don’t view kinkajous as aggressive animals. The same kind of thing could have occurred with a German Shepherd,” Hilton’s publicist said.
