Baby Shower Gift Basket

There is nothing in the world more beautiful than that of a newborn baby. Everyone from family, friends, and neighbors want to take part in the celebration by giving a gift that both the parents and the baby will enjoy. The perfect gift is versatile and useable, which is why a new baby gift basket is such a great choice.

For the parents, you could add a nice bottle of sparkling grape juice, gourmet cheese and crackers, and a book on parenting tips to the beautiful basket. For the baby, wash clothes, baby soap, shampoo, powder, booties, tee shirts, booties, and other small items are always needed but often overlooked. A new baby gift basket is one gift that will be treasured for its uniqueness and thoughtfulness!

With a little creativity, you can come up with a variety of options for creating your own new baby gift basket. For instance, consider creating a “Baby Time Capsule”. Start by choosing a nice basket that the parents can use around the house. Add a soft, cuddly teddy bear, a Tooth Fairy pewter box, a kit for the baby’s first haircut to store a lock of hair, and a copy of the local newspaper from the day the baby was born, and if possible, obtain a copy of one of the sonograms and have it beautifully framed.

Another adorable new baby gift basket is to visit your local hobby store and purchase a miniature red wagon. Line the wagon with a beautiful fleece or flannel blanket and then in one corner, place several baby items such as shampoo, lotion, powder, and body wash. Then in another corner, place a hooded bath towel, a couple of washcloths, and of course, a bright yellow rubber duck for the tub. Then, right in the middle, place big old teddy bear! The gifts inside the wagon can be used immediately and the wagon as the baby grows a little older.

Then, you might consider a new baby gift basket that is actually a wood rocking horse, large enough for a two-year-old to ride. Place a fleece blanket on the back of the horse and then sitting on the blanket, position an adorable doll. Dress the doll in a newborn outfit with little socks and booties. Next, wrap a bright pink and purple ribbon around the horse’s neck and tuck inside the ribbon, two tickets to the movie theater or to a nice restaurant for mom and dad. Everything on the horse, including the horse, will be a gift for the baby and the parents can enjoy the tickets when they need a break!

Finally, a white wicker basket also makes the perfect foundation for a new baby gift basket. For this, place a gingham burp cloth, and then pile in tons of goodies into the basket such as crib sheets, bottles, rattles, a footprint kit, teethers, diaper wipes, a lightweight throw blanket that coordinates with the gingham, and a fuzzy duck or bunny. In this basket, you would also add something for the parents, such as a gift certificate to a photo studio, dinner gift certificate, movie or theater tickets, and/or several packets of springtime flowers!
