Friday Fitness Motivators – Five Ways to Motivate Your Success

Do you need some motivation in your fitness goals? Do you need some ways to get you going? Are you looking for a way to keep you from skipping your workout? Are you looking for a way to not only get you to your workout, but also to make you grin as you eagerly look forward to it?

Here are five ways to motivate your success:

  • Buy New Fitness Gear – Seriously, buying new fitness gear can inspire you to enjoy your workout whether it’s a jazzy colored top or more comfortable workout pants or even fun workout shoes!
  • Hire a personal trainer – Even if you only set yourself up for five or six sessions, a personal trainer can help you work some new exercises into your routine, ramp up the intensity or just change your overall outlook – a personal trainer can also provide you with some very real inspiration
  • Keep a Workout Journal – A journal should not only document your regular exercise routines, but also how you felt before, during and after. You should track your measurements, your pounds and more. You want to track your moods, your health and how much easier some things were than others – you want to measure your fitness routine by its overall effect on your life
  • Kick Up the Music – I love fun, jazzy music while I’m working out, in fact, I’ll be so focused on the music that I won’t be worrying too much about the fact that I have another 30 minutes to go on the treadmill or the elliptical – it gives my mind and my mood a boost
  • Check Your Goals – When we’re working out or building a fitness program – we usually are doing this based on goals that we have. It’s important to check your goals from time to time and see what your working out for – for example – I work out because I feel better every time I do – the rest of it is just icing
