Good morning Ladies, how are you today? Well, I hope. Me? Oh, I’m a bit tired. I’ve been working too much again and not taking enough time for myself. I seem to spend my life in an expectant stage of going from one project to another so fast that I forget to stop and take a breath in between them. This isn’t a healthy way to exist and I, of all people, am aware of it.
Ladies, Our Duty is to Ourselves
As wives, mothers, daughters and sisters we tend to overlook ourselves in favor of our husbands, our children, our parents and our siblings. We tend to get so caught up in looking after others that we forget to look after ourselves. It’s important to remember that our first duty is to ourselves. Our first duty has to be to ourselves because if we fall apart – who is going to be there for our families then?
Exercise Regularly
Regular exercise should be a part of our regimen because we need the stress relief and the energy boost. Exercise releases endorphins that make us feel better about ourselves. When we feel better about ourselves, we are far more likely to be positive and upbeat to the people around us. Exercise reduces our stress and makes us far more pleasant when it comes to supporting our family and helping them to cope with the stress in their life.
Exercising regularly helps us to improve our physical health. We’re going to be sick less often. We’re going to increase the strength of our hearts, lungs and other major muscle groups. We’re going to eat healthier and drink more water. We’re also going to increase our longevity and reduce our cholesterol. When you look at it this way, how can we not exercise regularly? If we want to be there for our families, then our first duty has to be to ourselves.
Women’s Fitness
When we say women’s fitness, we focus on issues that are important to us as women. We focus on our reproductive health, our figures and our families. When we pay attention to ourselves, make sure we get plenty of sleep, exercise regularly and make healthy choices because what we do to ourselves is going to affect the people that we care about the most.
Our kids don’t want to be rich. Our kids don’t want us to be perfect. Our kids don’t want us to spend so much time thinking about tomorrow, that we forget they are here with us today. What our children want, what our parents want and what our spouses want is to have us there with them right now, today and they want us to be healthy and happy.
So take some time today and remember, your first duty is to yourself, because if you’re not there – who’s going to take care of all the people you love?
