I Love Schools.com

Has anyone heard of this wonderful website? I spoke in another blog about how much teachers spend of their own money every year for their classrooms and their students. Teachers do it because it is necessary and because it enhances the learning experience of the students in the classroom

Because it can be a pretty big financial burden for teachers each year to spend this money out of their own pockets, there is a great website that wants to help. www.iLoveSchools.com is a free donor site that matches people who wish to donate school supplies with the teachers who need them.

Teachers come to the site and make a wish list of items they need and must purchase with their own money. A friendly donor can go to the site, find a teacher in their area or even someone far away, and donate the money for the supplies the teacher needs. The website then goes to another business called SchoolSupplyDrive.com with the money from the donor and the teacher’s wish list. This business has connections and they purchase the supplies, either new or used and send them to the teacher in need. Sound too good to be true? It isn’t. This site is completely legit. I have even found a list of teachers in a nearby school who need supplies. Every dollar donated to this site goes directly for supplies that the teacher needs. All of it, 100 percent of it.

The site even has an area designated as a classroom friend. For this area you can invite a group of people, such as a local business, to pick a classroom and that group would donate funds for that specific classroom throughout the year. With so many schools so low on funds this is taking a toll on teacher’s pocketbooks. Teachers appreciate any donations and this website takes care of it all for you.

If you are wanting to donate supplies to a teacher, go to this great site and help save that teacher some money this year! What a nifty idea!
