Britney’s First Husband Unleashes On K-Fed

Forgive me. I just can’t help myself. Britney Spears’ pending divorce is just too hot a topic to warrant just one blog. And, oh, what a week it’s been: First Spears officially files for divorce from her husband of two years Kevin Federline. Once he finds out he’s been “Fed-Exed,” K-Fed fires back with his own court documents saying he wants sole custody of the couple’s two young sons (13-month-old Sean Preston and 2-month-old Jayden James). Less than 24 hours later, Shar Jackson, the mother of Federline’s two other children (4-year-old Kori and 2-year-old Kaleb) speaks out to TV reporters insisting that her ex-lover is simply “misunderstood.” Now, Spears’ first husband, Jason Alexander, is breaking his silence and weighing in on his ex’s impending divorce from Federline—only his comments were not as, should I say, “tactful” as Jackson’s.

Alexander, whom Spears wed in Las Vegas in 2004 (their marriage was annulled 55 hours later), tells TV’s Extra of Federline: “I don’t hate the guy. … I think he made an idiot of himself.”

And it gets better… when asked by reporters whether he thought Federline married the pop star for her money, Alexander replied, “I don’t know, the only thing he’s done since they’ve been married is spend money.”

But, Alexander didn’t stop there. He also voiced his opinions regarding the potential custody battle over Spears and Federline’s two sons. Alexander said, “He won’t get the kids … he can’t take care of his first two.” (Some have gone as far as saying that K-Fed “can’t take care of himself.”)

Now here’s the part that made me chuckle (not that I wasn’t already grimacing as Alexander made his previous comments): at the end of the television interview Alexander reached out to Spears, saying, “Give me a call. I’m a good guy to talk to … and I’m here for you.” Then right before the cameras stopped rolling Alexander admitted, “I still love her.”

How do you top that?
