Here’s your weekly rundown of what we covered in Kids’ Crafts starting with November 11th (officially Veterans Day), and working our way back to the beginning of the week.
How to Get Involved for Veteran’s Day
Here we talked a little about what Veterans Day means and some ways people can actively get involved in honoring our heroes, from going to parades, to visiting Veterans, sending cards and making pictures, or donating time or money to a Veterans organization. For those that want to do something at home, I suggested displaying your flag and working on some patriotic projects (listed).
In this article, ideas were given for making your own stories about the first Thanksgiving, creating and acting out a play, and making some simple costumes.
Patriotic Crafts for Veterans Day
This one gave instruction for a patriotic wreath for Veterans Day as well as a star-spangled swag to use as a decoration.
Thankful Crafts for Thanksgiving
Lots of Thanksgiving crafts use pretty, autumn colored leaves, but this one is a little different. It adds a way to show all the things you’re thankful for.
Holiday Crafts: Decorative Items for the Table
If you like to help decorate for the holidays, you might like this one. It shows you how to make customized placemats and some napkin rings. These can be adapted and decorated differently to help dress up the table for any holiday.
Are You Ready for Some More Turkey Crafts?
You’re sure to find lots of turkey crafts just about everywhere this time of year. This article includes one of my favorites.
Salute to American Veterans Crafts
I mentioned here that this week is National Veterans Awareness Week and also gave a couple of ideas for patriotic crafts.
*I hope you liked some of these ideas. Check back soon for lots more!
