All around the country, you will find neighborhoods where homeowners dedicate time and money to provide spectacular Christmas lights. Typically, you stay in your car, driving around to enjoy animated lights or every color. Some Christmas displays are so elaborate that light shows are orchestrated to holiday music. In this article, I wanted to provide you with some places to add to your list for getting into the holiday season
Seattle, Washington
Lean Thomson lives at 10427 14th Avenue South. Her house is lit up like a bright Christmas tree, a beautiful place to visit. Then, you could head to Rob Donovan’s home, which can be found at 5021 44th Avenue South. This house, along with trees, shrubs, and walkways are beautifully decorated with Christmas lights. In addition, Rob goes all out with a candy cane tree, snowmen, Santa Clause, reindeer, drummer boys, all lit up with more than 16,000 lights. As you can imagine, these are great homes for the entire family.
Las Vegas, Nevada
If you head to a warm climate for the holiday season, there is no reason why you cannot enjoy the magic of Christmas lights. While in Las Vegas, you can head off the strip to Sam’s Town Indoor Park, which offers some beautiful displays. Additionally, the Ethel M. Cactus Garden is decorated with thousands of bright Christmas lights. Of course, you can also head down the strip to Caesars Palace where the large and gorgeous decorated Christmas tree proudly stands.
Japan
Even if you travel to Japan during the holiday season, you can still enjoy some good, hometown lights. For starters, you could see the Sapporo White Illumination in Sapporo-City, Hokkaido, Sendai Pageant of Starlight held in Sendai-City, Miyagi, Fukuoka Bayside Place in Hakata, Fukuoka, Osaka Shin Umeda City in Osaka City, or Queen’s Square Yokohama in Yokohama-City, Kanagawa. All of these are favorite destinations that feature some of the most incredible Christmas light displays in the country.
If you want to enjoy the colorful lights of the holiday where you live, check with your local Chamber of Commerce. In addition, watch your community section of the newspaper where people will often advertise lit homes. This is a great way to spend a special evening with the kids.
