The Best Animated Stories

With so many animated movies on DVD for children, it is hard to find the really, good ones so I did some research for you. I scoured through hundreds of DVDs on the market and one that stood out was made in the Walt Disney studio called A Treasure Trove of Stories.

This children’s animated DVD runs for 32 minutes, offering a wonderful selection of stories, clean, family-oriented stories. The DVD was based on the book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Stories”, which features five, wonderfully narrated stories. The stories include:

– The Very Hungry Caterpillar – This is the story of a caterpillar that eats a lot of food before finally turning into a beautiful butterfly.

– The Very Quiet Cricket – This young cricket goes through a process of learning to communicate.

– The Mixed Up Chameleon – This insect visits the zoo while enjoying and envying the traits of other animals.

– Papa – Please get the Moon for Me – In this story, a little girl wants to play with the moon, asking her papa to help her achieve her wish

– I See a Song – This final story is the portrayal of a violinist that evokes colorful images while playing the violin

Again, this animated DVD is great for children and adults alike. It is colorful and fun while teaching valuable life lessons. First released in 1995, the new DVD came out this past January and is a real find. Throughout the stories, the kids will enjoy the stories and illustrations, which are beautifully done.

With so many so-so DVDs on the market, it is always great when you can find one that comes with a 100% thumbs up approval. Parents who have purchased this story DVD for their children agree – it is well worth the small investment. Chances are that the DVD will quickly become your child’s favorite.
