His team may not be headed to the Super Bowl, but New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has someone special to share his misery with. According to PEOPLE magazine, the football star has a new girlfriend, supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
The magazine reports that the pair has been seeing each other since before Christmas. Other news sources say that the Victoria’s Secret supermodel comforted Brady when his Patriots were recently knocked out of the NFL playoffs.
So how these two get together in the first place? Well as you can imagine looks had a hand in it. Let’s face it this couple is very (make that extremely) easy on the eyes. He’s hot. She’s hot. I’m sure someone out there is thinking that the coupling was bound to happen at some point. After all, that “opposites attract” theory doesn’t really apply to looks… does it? (Okay, maybe in the case of model Paulina Porizkova and her husband The Cars’ lead singer Ric Ocasek.)
Brady and Bundchen reportedly tried to keep their dating under wraps, but their plans were foiled when the Boston Herald ran an article detailing Bundchen’s presence in the stands at several Patriots games. The paper went on to report that the stunning Bundchen was seen waiting for Brady outside the Patriots locker room two weeks ago, after the team’s win against the San Diego Chargers.
Asked about the relationship by a Boston radio show, 29-year-old Brady said he didn’t “have much of a response.” Meanwhile, the 26-year-old model had no comment. Perhaps, she has decided since her split with Leo (Bundchen and actor Leonardo DiCaprio were an on-and-off couple for several years before breaking up for good in 2005) remaining mum may be best.
Personally, I’m sure it can’t be easy for her to do so. You’ll recall, Bundchen freely admitted to reporters that she has never been one to censor herself. In fact, the supermodel had previously expressed her admiration for the football star more than a year ago telling the Boston Herald: “Tom Brady, definitely not too shabby. He’s pretty cute. All-American, that’s a good way to describe him.”
But at the time Brady was in a relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, and added, “He’s cute, but if he has a girlfriend, he’s gay to me. There are too many men in the world to go after a man who has a woman. Life is too short.”
