Looking for My Waist: Sabotage

I would not say there is a person close to me that consciously does not want me to lose weight but I do have a saboteur in my house. He was home for 3 days this weekend, and somehow I lost control.

I will not blame it on him though… I could certainly be stronger. Instead of strength, however, I showed shameful weakness. When he decided my mood needed chocolate, did I say no? No, I did not. When he suggested Olive Garden, did I say no? No, I did not. By the way, he did not offer me the ice cream I had on Saturday.

How does a dieter survive in a sabotaged house? Having kids, and a spouse with cravings and their own requests makes eliminating the bad stuff nearly impossible. Nevertheless, I have to be strong. Here are some action points that may help me next week:

  • Buy fruit… a lot of fruit to eat when I am tempted to have something sinful.
  • Eat good stuff first. When I am tempted to have something sinful, I can have something healthy, like a salad first, and if I am still hungry then have a small amount of the sinful food.
  • Instead of going out to eat, find another family activity like going to the movies or playing a game.

Here are my stats this week (inches) 245 lbs? Bust 45, waist 42, hips 49.5, Thighs 44.5, single arm 14

Here are my original stats: Dec 20, 2006: 250 lbs bust: 50, waist: 46, hips: 53, Thighs: 47, single arm: 15
One pound lost… no major changes. I will keep at it, my weight was steadily decreasing until the weekend began and I gained a few pounds back.
