Moving On

It’s been a busy week for some of Hollywood’s biggest names. The celebs in the following group have all recently gone public with their decisions (some happily, others less so) to start a new chapter in their lives.

They are moving on…

HEATHER MILLS

Apparently, she knew it was coming. Even though I thought she was good enough to stick around for another week of dancing—others decided to give Heather Mills the boot from “Dancing with the Stars.”

Mrs. Paul McCartney was the first contestant with an artificial limb to compete on the ABC dance-off, and it didn’t seem as though the judges coddled her because of it. In fact, Mills created a stir this week when she called out judge Carrie Ann Inaba for giving her a “7” and basically blaming her for her early departure from the show.

Two days later it was revealed that Mills cancelled two public appearances—one on ABC’s “The View” (ironically, the day Inaba was scheduled to sit in as a guest co-host) and the other on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Instead, photographers snapped the mother of a young daughter she shares with McCartney high-tailing it through LAX reportedly on her way back to England to be reunited with her child.

No word if she will return for the season finale…

ELIZABETH HURLEY

The new Mrs. Elizabeth Nayar is putting on a happy face amid the drama surrounding her recent wedding in India.

The British actress-model and businessman Arun Nayar were married last month in a lavish and traditional Hindu ceremony, but not everyone was happy with the event. According to news reports, the wedding enraged a Hindu religious activist, who filed a complaint saying it had mocked Hindu customs. According to the complaint, Hurley wore revealing clothes and didn’t remove her footwear while walking around the sacred fire at the ceremony. On top of that, tabloids in Britain reported that Nayar’s father severed ties with his son after he was thrown out of the wedding on Hurley’s urging.

This week, Hurley spoke about the allegations for the first time saying that she has decided to turn a “blind eye to the bad things” and concentrate on her new husband and 4-year-old son.

PAMELA ANDERSON

Pamela Anderson has a new job. No, she’s not starring as another scantily clad lifeguard. Rather, she will replace Carmen Electra as special guest star in Hans Klok’s new show, “The Beauty of Magic,” at a Las Vegas resort and casino.

Electra pulled out for “scheduling reasons” and the door opened for Anderson who says the new gig is a dream come true.

“My kids are going to love this,” the 39-year-old actress told local reporters on Thursday. “This is my dream of being a Vegas showgirl come true.”
