I remember when Disneyland Paris first opened. Can it really be 15 years ago? Apparently so! Although, much younger than Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida, Disneyland Paris has made it’s mark on the social landscape and become a destination for millions from around the world. The birthday celebration comes at a time when Disney is also celebrating it’s Year of a Million Dreams and the fan-favored Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End is set to premiere.
I get excited just thinking about it! Euro Disney S.A.S. Chairman and CEO Karl L. Holz said:
For 15 years, Disneyland Resort Paris has been making dreams come true for guests of many cultures, countries and ages. The year long 15th Anniversary celebration has something new for everyone – and festivities every single day for 12 magical months.
What Changes Can You Expect?
The Once Upon a Dream Parade will be added as a part of the celebrations at Disneyland Paris. There will be a procession of colorful and famous dream moments from Disney history. The floats will also be different in that they will involve all of the audience senses. Fragrances will fill the air to match themes of each float.
This sensory celebration is designed to engage the audience on a multitude of levels, but if you are very sensitive to strong fragrances, you might want to avoid being right on the front lines of the parade. Fragrance, in Paris, that sounds just about right, doesn’t it?
New Attractions
The new parade is not the only thrill waiting for visitors to Disneyland Paris. There will also be three new rides including one that lets visitors journey into underwater worlds, another that will plunge them down the 13th floor and the last, which invites them on a car chase down Route 66.
