The tagline on the Vocabulary Vine website says it all, “What phonics is to reading, that’s what root study is to vocabulary” This book teaches interrelated roots, has 12 no-preparation games, uses familiar example words, teaches through thinking skills, and uses fun work play all in a no frills, straightforward package.
The Well Trained Mind written by Susan Wise is a guideline for Classical Homeschoolers. In fact, it is known to be the original guideline for Classical Homeschoolers. It recommends books, and techniques, and philosophies for classical homeschooling.
