Fight for Your Marriage

Do you know how to fight for your marriage? Did you know you needed to fight for your marriage? It may sound odd to use the terms ‘fight’ in conjunction with a positive influence on your marriage relationship, but it’s really important to understand that you need to fight for your marriage, every day and in every way.

Fighting for Marriage

When I say that you are fighting for your marriage, I don’t mean fighting with your spouse – I mean fighting all the distractions, the doubts, the troubles and the problems that can get in the way of your marriage. Ways you can fight for your marriage include:

  • Practice your listening skills – not only is conversation with your spouse important, but your ability to give them your undivided attention is proactive and makes your spouse feel important
  • Do something nice for each other every day – too often we get caught up in all the craziness, business and anxiety of day to day living, so making a concentrated effort to do something nice every day
  • Pamper and primp – these are two words that you need to keep in your vocabulary – take the time to pamper your spouse whether it’s making them a meal, taking care of an errand or giving them a foot rub and by that same token, primp – whether you enjoy the process of primping or not, it can make your spouse feel good to know that you primp just for them

These are just a few ways that you can fight for your marriage. There are many other ways you can do it. How I fight for my marriage may not be the way you fight for your marriage or my neighbor does or your neighbor does?
