Registration Open for Two Fall Endurance Series Events

There will be two endurance events happening this October – the first is the Race for the Taste and the second is the nighttime, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13K. Yes, you heard that right – the Tower of Terror 13K – how can you do a 13K with a ride? We’re going to cover that.

Race for the Taste

The Race for the Taste happens on October 7. It’s not just about the food (despite the name taste), instead this is about combining international cuisine with an endurance run. The race happens at the same time as Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. That runs from September 28 through November 11th this fall. On October 7th, the race begins with a ceremonial toast. At the finish line, the runners will be able to enjoy hors d’oeuvres from the International Food & Wine Festival.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 13K

It’s the 13th anniversary of the opening of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. To commemorate this event, there will be a race party at the Disney-MGM Studios. The party lasts from 9 p.m until 1 a.m. on October 27 and your entry fee into the race includes the party as well. There will also be the opening of the Rock’n’Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith and the Great Movie Ride will be open during the party.

The 6.5K run begins at 9 p.m. and covers half the 13K course.

Disney Races

Going to Disney for a race may not seem like the idea vacation for some, but I think it’s an interesting challenge for the fitness minded that combines that magic of Disney with the dare to achieve your personal best. If you’re interested in booking your vacation around one of these race opportunities and registering for these races – check out www.disneysports.com or call 407-938-3398.
