Take advantage of this month’s sales and deals. Every month has its own set of items that are discounted or go on sale. If you know when to buy, you can save big.
With June comes summer, and the stores are happy to oblige with discounts and sales on summer fashions. Actually, the stores were ready with their summer stock months ago, but now they are getting desperate to being in fall fashions, so the summer fashions are offered at great prices.
I’m looking forward to doing a little shopping for summer clothes, especially since we have been spending more time outdoors lately. When we moved, my entire summer wardrobe fit into one small box.
One thing that has been occupying us lately is home improvement projects. There is not a room in our new home that doesn’t need some fixing. Right now, I’m working on my daughter’s room early in the morning and during the kids’ nap time. So far the room is patched and the painting has been started. Good thing for me that this is the month to get great prices on hardware, tools and home improvement items. Perhaps the stores are concerned that everyone is at the beach instead of fixing up? If vacations are on your mind, buy your supplies now and fix up later in the fall.
June is also the month to get your best buys on televisions and portable music players.
It is also the month to stock up, if you can on dairy products. It is National Dairy Month, so look for coupons and special sales from the major dairy manufactures, such as Kraft Foods and Stonyfield Farm. Cheese generally freezes pretty well, especially cheese you use in cooking, such as shredded cheddar and mozzarella. I keep my freezer stocked with those two types of cheese, and they help me fix all sorts of quick meals from pizza to a chicken enchilada bake.
