Celebrity Weekend Weddings

Better late than never I suppose. After 18 years together Tony Bennett finally tied the knot with his longtime (now that’s an understatement) girlfriend Susan Crow.

According to news reports, the pair married in a private ceremony in New York Thursday night. It wasn’t exactly a star-studded affair, though reports say former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and his wife Matilda attended the ceremony and acted as witnesses.

The 80-year-old groom and his 47-year-old bride are co-founders of a charitable organization, which champions arts-education programs for young artists. They will reportedly take a break from their charitable do-gooding while they honeymoon in Italy.

Garth Fisher, one of the plastic surgeons on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover” (or the guy I like to call the former Mr. Brooke Burke) also got hitched this weekend.

According to media reports, Fischer wed former Playboy model Jessica Canseco on Saturday at their home in Bel-Air, California.

According to PEOPLE magazine, the “black-tie ceremony took place in an orchard overlooking the mountains and also affording views of the city and the Pacific.” It was reportedly an intimate affair (by Hollywood standards)—the invite list consisted of just 50 family members and close friends, including Fischer’s two young daughters from his previous marriage to Burke as well as Canseco’s preteen daughter. Perhaps the kids had a say in some of the wedding night entertainment… Reports say following dinner a lavish six-course meal, five contortionists from Cirque du Soleil performed in the pool.

Fisher proposed to his new bride Canseco (who works as an aesthetician and image consultant in Beverly Hills) on the one-year anniversary of their introduction. And it just so happened that their introduction was made by “Dr. 90210” plastic surgeon Paul Nassif. (Ah, only in Hollywood.)

Canseco reportedly walked down the aisle wearing a 6-carat canary yellow diamond ring given to her by her new husband.

One final note: according to PEOPLE, the newlyweds will honeymoon in Italy and France. (Maybe they will bump into the Bennett’s.)
