I am just so excited about this deal that I couldn’t wait to get back to my computer to share it with you! I should be doing a million other things right now, but I had to write and tell you before the best books are gone.
Yesterday, we visited the mall to pick up a present for my youngest son. It was a quick trip, since we had some birthday celebrating to do. Fortunately for me, I passed by the Borders Bookstore. it was actually a Borders Express, but the manager assured me that this great deal was available at all of the Borders stores.
A large cart was parked near the doorway and on it were quite a number of books. A printed out sign declared that the books on the cart where all 50% off. Okay, that was intriguing enough to take a look, but I wasn’t too excited. Until, that is, I realized that all of the books on the cart were bargain books that has been already marked down. And most of those books were hard cover books. So the 50% was off of the already reduced bargain price.
Wait, it gets even better. There is also a deal going on in which all bargain books are buy four get a fifth for free. And yes, you can combine it with the 50% off the already discounted deal.
I limited myself to five books, since my books currently overflow my bookshelf, but I couldn’t pass up this deal. I picked up five hardcover books. Two were pulitzer prize winning books, two were last year’s best sellers and one was a cookbook. In total, I paid about $14 with the tax. Considering that the hard cover books were averaging about $23-25 a piece normally, spotting this deal saved me more than $100!
So, if you are looking for some summer reading, be sure to head over to that little cart at the Borders Bookstore. Now this deal was spotted in Pennsylvania, but since Borders is a national chain, I am hoping that you can find this same deal wherever you live. Please let me know!
