From seminary to tithing to LDS secrets, this week carried with it a number of blogs sure to help and entertain you.
Gospel Doctrine: In What Christ’s Resurrection Means to Each of Us, we discussed the impact of the resurrection in our lives. In Witness of the Resurrected Lord, we discussed various people who saw the Lord following His resurrection. In Doubting Thomas, we considered the disciples who doubted news of Christ’s resurrection. In The Value of the Old Testament, we discuss the relevance of the first book of the bible. In Did Not Our Hearts Burn?, we discussed the role the Holy Ghost plays in our scripture study. And in The Resurrected Body of Christ, we talk about the scriptures testimony of Christ’s physical body.

Monday, July 16th: In (How Not to) Prepare for Seminary, we discussed ways that we might want to help our kids get ready for Seminary that might not really be successful. In General Conference: Life’s Lessons Learned, we reviewed Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin’s talk on defining moments in his life. And in Music in Your Home, we reviewed the blessings that come with bringing gospel songs into our family’s experiences.
Tuesday, July 17th: In Dinner Discussions 2007 Week 26, we reviewed topics to discuss with our families regarding this week’s church lessons. In How to Help Your Teen Prepare for Seminary, we shared some tips to help get ready for seminary. In Three Tips for Visiting Teaching in the Summer, we can talk about overcoming the additional challenges of visiting our sisters during vacation time. And in Primary Time: Baptism, we talked about ways to support children being baptized in the church.
Wednesday, July 18th: In Making Prayer More Personal, we discussed ways to keep our prayer a two way street. In Are you Struggling to Pay Tithing?, we addressed the challenges of tithe paying. In Why Memorize?, we examined some of the benefits of memorizing scriptures. And in Young Women: 5 Tips for Leaders, we made a few suggestions for the Young Women presidency and teachers.
Thursday, July 19th: In Defining Moments, we discussed moments that strengthen our testimonies. In The non-Latter-day Saint Dictionary, we discussed a few “secret” terms that we Latter-day Saints take for granted. In Young Men: Dating, we talked about ways to help smooth your youth’s entrance into the dating scene. And in Talents and Callings, we talked about the strengths we can bring to our callings.
Friday, July 20th: In Do You Find Family Prayer Frustrating?, we were reminded to keep at family prayer, even when the immediate results are less than desirable. In General Conferences From the Past: “Women of Righteousness”, we were reminded that women have value for more than their role as wife and mother. In Balancing Your Marriage and Your In-laws, we addressed possible problems with our in-laws.
Saturday, July 21st: In My Confession About My Food Storage, Miriam shared her goals with improving her year’s supply. And in Family Home Evening: Pivotal Choices, we prepared for a FHE lesson on Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin’s talk.
