Gourmet Coffee for Less

Don’t you love gourmet coffee? If you are a coffee fan, you’ll want to keep reading this article. That is because the following tips will help you get your gourmet coffee for less.

Gourmet coffee can be very expensive, but here are some ways to enjoy your coffee and still be frugal.

First of all, stop getting your gourmet coffee out. Buying those fancy cups of mochas and lattes can cost you upwards of $25 a week! Think about how hard you have to work for that $100 a month you could be spending on coffee.

It makes a lot more sense to make your coffee at home and take it with you. Invest in a coffee maker, if you don’t already have one, and a good thermos. If you are rushed in the morning, set your coffee maker the night before and use the timer function. Some coffee makers will even grind the beans and brew the coffee all by themselves. Of course, those makers are a little pricey, but they will still pay for themselves in a month or two.

Another pit fall that coffee drinkers can fall into is by spending lots of money on fancy gourmet coffee beans. If you are a coffee connoisseur, raised in a commune of coffee lovers and can distinguish between the taste of beans grown in different regions, then by all means splurge. But, if you are an average person, like me, you can get that gourmet taste without the gourmet price.

How? By being creative. try breaking up a cinnamon stick in with the coffee beans for cinnamon coffee. You can use ordinary grocery store beans, and no one will be able to tell it isn’t made from “gourmet cinnamon coffee beans.”

You can experiment with different ingredients that are around your home to make a whole pantry full of gourmet tastes. Try a little bit of extract in your coffee for a great flavor. You can try vanilla extract, chocolate extract, almond extract, peppermint extract, etc. Once you get used to how much to add for your tastes, try combining flavors.
