Fall is coming and with it the fall session of General Conference. It is important to mark your calendars for the next sessions of General Conference now. General Conference weekend is October 6, 2007 and October 7, 2007. There will be the four general sessions of conference, as usual. There will also be a Priesthood session the evening of October 6, 2007. If you are in the United States or Canada you should be able to view the broadcast at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM MDT on both Saturday and Sunday. The Priesthood session is at 6:00 PM MDT.
You can watch all of the broadcasts at home on BYUTV or over the Internet streaming. You can go to the church’s website to watch or listen or to BYUTV’s site. You may be able to watch on a special station in your area, you should ask your local church leaders if this is available for you. The Priesthood session is only shown in the chapel. You should check with your local leaders for local times.
The Relief Society General broadcast is September 29, 2007 at 6:00 PM MDT. This is always a wonderful meeting. It is the first meeting with the new Relief Society general presidency. Your local stake or ward may be planning an activity or dinner in conjunction with this meeting.
If you live outside of the United States or Canada, then you should talk to your local leaders about when the conference will be rebroadcast. The church should post the talks, in both written and video format, within a few weeks of conference. You can also read the talks in the November issue of the Ensign. This is a great way to take time to apply the teachings to your lives. It is important to make the time to both watch and read the words of the prophet.
