Happy Labor Day! I hope you have the kind of job where you’ve enjoyed the day off and maybe even a nice three-day weekend. In case you’re trying to spend what’s left of today catching up on blogs, here’s your breakdown of what Aimee and myself covered last week in the Pets Blog.
Monday, August 27
Does your pet like to run errands with you? Murph does, because I know where to take him to get drive-thru donuts and coffee for dogs to reward him for helping me.
Tuesday, August 28
If you’ve been following the Michael Vick case, then you know he pled guilty to some of the charges against him. I couldn’t help but wonder if you were ready to stop hearing about him, though. Aimee might have had this next topic on her radar anyway, but I’m thinking maybe it was Lally inspired. Either way, Aimee gave us the basics on hot spots: what they look like, where they’re most commonly found, and how they come about.
Wednesday, August 29
The plethora of joke emails that clog my inbox actually aren’t all unwanted. In fact, I even enjoy a few of them, especially if they’re animal related. I shared a few of my faves in Viral Emails: Have You Seen the One About…?. Aimee revisited hot spots, as in the oozing open sores dogs sometimes get, with tips for treatment and prevention.
Thursday, August 30
While watching the Today Show during breakfast I caught a little bit about Leona Helmsley’s $12 million bequest to her dog. I heard a lot of guffawing over leaving so much to a little Maltese, but I didn’t hear how the dog was doing, which is what I wanted to know. Aimee listed the five most popular choices of flea and tick prevention options with some info about the pros and cons of each.
Friday, August 31
There’s always a day off somewhere, sometimes Wednesday, sometimes Sunday, I guess this week Friday was the day!
Saturday, September 1
Lally and Moose and a little black cat that caused a lot of chaos in the Amodio household inspired Aimee to write about fence fighting: what it is and possible causes.
Sunday, September 2
During a walk with Lally and Moose and some friends, Aimee made a discovery about two famous explorers in American History: Lewis and Clark and their dog Seaman.
