I Asked & You Answered

Yesterday, I asked and you answered. I wanted to know what you wanted to know and here’s what I found out:

  • I want to know how to keep the weight off
  • I want to know how to stick to a workout program
  • I want to know how to build my own exercise program
  • I want to know how to get the most out of a workout
  • I want to know how to like working out
  • I want to know how to exercise without hating every moment of it

That’s just a sampling of the responses that I received from different readers and I have to say, I like what you’re thinking and I can appreciate what you want to know. So over the next month, we’re going to address all of these and more starting right now with:

How To Exercise & Not Hate It

Truth be told, everyone hates the idea of working out. It can be tedious, it can be grueling and all of us can come up with something we’d rather do more. For example:

  • I’d rather drive to Starbuck’s and spend $4 for coffee than exercise
  • I’d rather kick back on the sofa and snooze to a movie rather than exercise
  • I’d rather play a video game than hop on the treadmill

Sure there are other things that are probably more ‘fun’ to you right now. But here’s a simple truth – exercise is its own reward. Regular exercise inspires you to exercise more because you feel much better. You’ll have more energy. You’ll have less stress. You’ll sleep better. You’ll feel more focused. You’ll feel like you’re getting things accomplished.

The first week is the hardest.

After that – you will enjoy your exercise not so much for the moves that you do, but for how it makes you feel.
