Once in awhile there’s a movie that the whole family really enjoys, from my young-for-her-age 11 year old to my 40-something “particular” husband. With a family that appreciates music, Disney’s High School Musical is one such movie. We recorded it on the TiVO and it’s been replayed several times. No, the plot isn’t very deep, but there’s something about Zac Efron that’s just so likeable! I predict he’s going to end up a huge star for years to come.
If your family likes the movie as much as ours does, you might be interested in the High School Musical Board Game. It’s a DVD-based game similar to Scene-It. Right now, Amazon has it for only $5.99 instead of the normal $14.99. On top of that, it’s eligible for free shipping through Amazon Prime. If you don’t already have it, you’ll want to get Prime for the holidays. It’s going to be a present for my musical teenager. The High School Musical II game is normal price. It was okay, but lacked the magic of the first one.
For a limited time, the purchase counts towards the $25 needed for a free subscription to Cookie magazine. From the reviews, I’m not sure I would buy this at full price. It seems to be geared toward parents with a little more discretionary income than we have. But as a freebie, I’d love to take a look. All you have to do is spend $25 on participating toys and baby items to get a free year-long subscription (normally $9.99 through Amazon). The nice thing is that if you do so, you’ll get free shipping even without Prime.
Board games are a great way to get the family together for some quality time. It’s even nicer when it doesn’t cost a lot to do so.
