Week in Review — September 17th – 22nd

We’ve had a lot of great articles here in LDS this last week. In case you missed any, here’s a rundown for you:

Tristi wondered if it was time to address a sensitive topic in Is It Time to Teach Your Child the Facts of Life? She also posed questions about our willingness to share our religious beliefs in Do We Share What We Believe? In Chances to Be Good, she discussed the ways in which we are given the opportunity to live our beliefs.

Miriam presented Week 35 in her dinner discussion series, and in Treating Others Kindly, addressed the issue of teaching our children how to be kind to those around them. She reported on a General Conference talk entitled, A Lesson from the Book of Mormon, and beautifully discussed how to be Of One Heart and One Mind at Home.

Tristi continued the Scripture Study series with 1 Nephi 3:8-16, 1 Nephi 3:17-28, 1 Nephi 3:29-31, 1 Nephi 4:1-11, and 1 Nephi 4:12-20.

Tristi also shared ways to Choose Your Battles at Scripture Time.

Then Miriam gave us some ideas for a Relief Society Service Enrichment Night and helped us starting thinking about ways to Prepare Yourself for General Conference. She also gave us a nice review on the General Conference talk Do You Know?

Tristi discussed scripture reading with Is It Hard to Get Into Your Scriptures? and talked about ways to get your little ones to listen in Reading Scriptures with Young Children.

Miriam reminded us of ways to find happiness in Spiritual Pick-Me-Up. She also discussed Family Generations Ties and Boundaries, Appreciating Nature in all its beauty, especially at this time of year, and shared Family Home Evening ideas in Building Your Testimony. In addition, she reported on the General Conference talk The Miracle of the Holy Bible and discussed the opposition we face when trying to do good in Family Home Evening and Scripture Study Roadblocks.

It’s been a great week here in LDS — we do hope you are able to join us again.
