Are you one of those people who is afraid to take a cruise during a holiday because you think you’ll miss out on holiday festivities? Well, that may be true for some cruise lines but Disney Cruise Lines makes the most of every holiday and the last thing you’ll feel is that you are missing out! The two Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, will be hosting holiday festivities for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
Halloween
Halloween decorations will be found throughout the ships and, as a special treat, horror movies will be played in some of the ships’ theaters. Guests of all ages can go Trick-or-Treating by following a trail of candy stations that lead them to a dance party on the top deck and special costume parties in each of the youth activity areas. The dance party on the top deck (for adults) will have a costume contest with prizes for costumes such as best group, most original and most Disney.
Thanksgiving
Themed craft projects for kids and teens and a traditional American Thanksgiving feast on Thanksgiving Day will ensure that none of you feel like you’ve missed an important holiday.
Christmas
The two cruises available during Christmas will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise departing Port Canaveral on December 22, 2007, as well as a four-night cruise of the Bahamas departing Port Canaveral on December 23, 2007.
During the Christmas season, you can count on the Disney decks to be completely decked out in full holiday decorations. Holiday services for most faiths will be held on board for those wishing to attend. Traditional holiday feasts will be served in the dining rooms so wear your stretchy pants!
New Year’s Eve & Day
A shipwide party will ring in 2008, culminating with a fantastic fireworks show at sea. On New Year’s Day, you can enjoy a shipboard tailgate party.
Needless to say, you’ll never miss a holiday if you’re on a Disney cruise ship!
