Breaking Up Celebrity Style

Now who’s going to cheer him on when he runs the New York City marathon?

Oh, wait… the rest of the world.

It’s not clear whether fashion designer Tory Burch will turn out in her hometown to support Lance Armstrong when he runs the 26.2-mile race next month now that they are no longer a couple.

Yes, another one bites the dust for the seven-time Tour de France champ.

According to the New York Post, the cycling warrior and Burch are no longer an item. Burch’s spokesperson told the newspaper that the breakup was “amicable” and that “geography” was to blame. For Burch, the rigors of juggling her career and role as mom to six children in New York didn’t mesh well with Armstrong’s life in Texas with his three young children. Apparently it got to be too much for the couple who had been dating for more than a year.

Who knows… if it really was a friendly parting, perhaps Burch will take time to wave to her former flame as he weaves his way through the streets of the Big Apple on the day of the big race.

Nah.

Nick Cannon and Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks’ relationship has reportedly gone the way of Armstrong and Burch’s.

According to Ebanks’s rep the couple has called off their engagement and split up.

“Selita and Nick are taking a break to focus on their careers but still very much love each other and remain the best of friends,” her rep told reporters.

You had to see this one coming especially after some of the comments that were made by the pair shortly after Cannon made headlines by proposing to Ebanks via a jumbotron in New York’s Times Square eariler this year.

Shortly after the very public proposal Cannon told reporters that the couple was having a hard time nailing down wedding details—namely when they would be tying the knot. Then, a few weeks later Ebanks told inquiring minds that the pair had some fundamental differences in what constituted an ideal ceremony.

“He’s all about the bling and having a big wedding. Me? I’m all about the courthouse,” Ebanks said.

Their engagement lasted about five months. That’s longer than some Hollywood marriages
