Just in time for the Halloween season, NBC has released information on their upcoming reality show “Phenomenon.” The show will search for the next great mentalist. If you are not sure, think Criss Angel and Uri Geller, who just happen to be on the panel of experts for “Phenomenon.”
Tom Vincent of “Access Hollywood” will be the host. Geller, famed since the 70s for being able to bend spoons with his mind and Angel, who has his own show of A&E, which features his “mind tricks,” will carefully look at the ten contestants:
Jan Bardi – Bardi’s career has been based on his “psycho stunts” which use psychology and mentalism.
Guy Bavli – An illusionist who was inspired by Geller.
Jim Callahan – Combined Houdini’s escape act with his own interested in the paranormal, Jim claims to speak to his spirit guide Raymon.
Angela Funovits – A former model and current medical student, Angela became fascinated with illusions at the age of 10.
Wayne Hoffman – Working since age 15, Wayne plays gigs from college campuses to the Playboy Mansion.
Jim Karol – This steel worker turned mystifier dreams winning lottery numbers, which he gives to his audience.
Gerry McCambridge – Inspired by Doug Henning’s magic, Gerry began performing on the streets of NY and now headlines at the Hooters Casino Hotel in Vegas.
Eran Raven – Eran has had vivid dreams of the future since he was a child, but it took a bout with Bells Palsy two years ago to make him decide to embrace his gift.
Jason Scott – Moving crayons in kindergarten, Jason currently performs daily at the Playboy Club in Vegas.
Ehud Segev – Ehud was the runner up in the Israeli version of the same show, titled “The Successor.”
If you are interested in seeing who will be the next great mentalist, look for “Phenomenon” on NBC starting October 24th at 8 pm EST.
