Hope

When it comes to persevering through a trial, hope is one of the most important things that you can have. Faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and in the plan of salvation allows you to hope. When we have the correct perspective we know that things will work out eventually and that we will have the strength to endure the trials that we are facing. Peace will come as you focus your hope on the eternal and understand that Heavenly Father does know the best outcome.

There are times when you may be hoping, praying or wishing for the wrong outcome. You may struggle or falter if things are not working out as planned. You may become frustrated or find yourself drifting away. If you are feeling this way in a situation your are struggling with, you should make it a matter of prayer. It is important to remember that prayer is the chance for you to come to understand the Lord’s will in your life.

There are situations where the outcome will be one that is difficult to understand or deal with. During these times all you may be able to pray for are peace and the strength to continue. You may not gain the understanding that often accompanies trials for quite some time. However the Lord will never abandon you. As you seek to do what is right in His eyes, He will strengthen you to face your challenges.

Hope is a beautiful gift that is the result of faith. It helps us to continue in the face of adversity. It gives us peace. It allows us to face life with an eternal perspective. If you have lost your hope, then you should work on building your testimony and building your relationship with the Savior. You can pray that your hope will return. The Lord will bless you, in ways that you may not realize, as you strive to do the things that will bring you closer to him.
