Oh Baby! Giada’s Pregnant and Nancy Has Twins

Celebrity chef turned “Today” show contributor Giada De Laurentiis is having a baby. And to illustrate just how skinny she is, the almost 5-months pregnant Food Network hottie says she hasn’t had to buy maternity clothes yet. (If De Laurentiis wants to keep her female audience she should really think about limiting those types of comments.) What’s more, the good-looking TV chef revealed that she has been giving into her starchy cravings for months.

I must say I was stunned when I heard the news. Giada is my favorite Italian chef. I have a couple of her cookbooks and am an avid fan of her popular Food Network shows. But, in every interview I’ve seen with her she always makes the same comment about not being ready for kids.

Well, ready or not here she comes. That’s right–she! The 37-year-old pro cook told “Today” show viewers that she is having a baby girl with her clothing designer husband of four years Todd Thompson.

“When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock,” De Laurentiis admitted on the “Today” show. “I truly didn’t believe it. I honestly thought, ‘there has got to be a mistake.’ ”

The Everyday Italian chef said now that she knows she is having a girl things are beginning to sink in.

“I just hope that I can be a good mom,” she said.

I have a feeling Headline News anchor Nancy Grace is hoping the same thing.

She and her husband David Linch welcomed their first children into the world yesterday. Twins Lucy Elizabeth and John David were born a few weeks early, due to Grace’s diagnosis of pulmonary edema. According to doctors, pulmonary edema involves swelling and/or fluid accumulation in the lungs.

“Her physician determined it would be best for Nancy, and for the twins, to deliver them [on Sunday],” a rep for Grace said.

According to Grace’s rep, John David weighed 5 lbs., 1 oz. at birth, and Lucy Elizabeth weighed 2 lbs., 15 oz. John David is reportedly named for his father and John the Revelator. While Lucy Elizabeth is named after Grace’s mother Elizabeth and grandmother Lucy.

The 48-year-old CNN anchorwoman is reportedly doing well and in a statement to media outlets, Grace’s husband added: “The babies are doing fine. Our little girl is doing just as well as her brother despite her weight.

Grace and Linch married seven months ago in a low-key ceremony.
