Pizza Hut’s Youngest and Most Famous Delivery Person… Maybe

How ironic is it that when multi-millionaire dollar celebrities provide unsolicited praise for a certain product (e.g. Rosie O’Donnell was never shy about expressing her love for Altoids) the company rewards him or her with a lifetime supply of that particular item? Ironic, because said star could easily afford to buy the lifetime supply on his own. And there’s no way you can rationalize that a 15-second unsolicited endorsement is equivalent to a gift whose retail value is in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Well, it just happened again.

Having a famous mom with a big mouth sure can jumpstart a kid’s career. Just ask 4-year-old Deacon Phillippe.

Reese Witherspoon’s adorable son has just become the recipient of some serious swag and he has his mother to thank. During an interview with Britain’s Daily Express Witherspoon revealed that she really would prefer if her children (Witherspoon also has an 8-year-old daughter) stayed out of show business. Then, the actress divulged son Deacon’s real passion.

“He wants to be a pizza delivery boy,” the Oscar winner told the paper. “Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it’s hard to see how it could be a career as such.”

Despite his mother serving a hard dis to all the pizza delivery people of the world, Deacon got a big surprise hand-delivered to him last week.

Pizza Hut issued a letter to the young pizza lover assuring him that a job is waiting for him whenever he wants it.

In the open letter (that has now been featured on numerous entertainment news shows) Pizza Hut hits one back to Deacon’s mom saying:

“We have delivery drivers who have worked for us for 10, 15, even 20 years! And the same Pizza Hut drivers who deliver hot, fresh pizzas right to your door have gone on to become successful business, doctors, lawyers and, yes, actors. Deacon, keep on dreaming big and know that we’re saving a spot for you on our team.”

SNAP!

But, not only does the popular pizza chain have a job… I mean career… waiting for Witherspoon’s son, they also gifted the pre-schooler with a few items so he can practice for his upcoming role.

The company gifted the boy a Pizza Hut uniform “that’s just your size,” according to the letter. In addition, Deacon is now the proud owner of a mini-delivery car “for you to polish your driving skills,” as well as gift cards for Pizza Hut pizzas.

Gee, I wonder what would happen if I wrote to Pizza Hut and told them my daughter loves their Hand Tossed pepperoni pies?
