This resort was designed with Coronado’s view of colonial Mexico and the American southwest in mind. You are greeted by a sunny plaza leading to the large lobby complete with beamed, mosaic ceilings, columns, inlaid floors and a beautiful fountain. The resort has three themed areas that are situated around Lago Dorado (Lake Dorado). This resort is located near the Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach parks.
There are 1,921 guest rooms at the Coronado Springs resort. The three themed areas are Ranchos, Cabanas, and Casitas. Ranchos is located along a dry streambed and has buildings that resemble cattle ranches. This section is closest to the main pool. Cabanas is situated along a palm-lined beach and Casitas has the majority of the suites and is located closest to the Coronado Springs Convention Center.
The rooms here are roughly 300 square feet each and have either two extra-long double beds or one king sized bed. Rooms can accommodate up to four guests each. Each room is lightly furnished with a table and chairs, armoire, and a television.
Both a salon and a health club are available on site. Dining options include both a food court and a family style restaurant. A lounge and pool bar and grill are also available.
Recreational activities include four pools, a 22-person hot tub, waterslide, kiddie pool a large sandbox, a children’s playground, two arcades, volleyball on a sand court and watercraft and bike rentals. Access to five Disney golf courses is also available.
A coin laundry, valet service, baby sitting and child care services are also available.
Transportation to the Disney parks is available from the Coronado Springs resort by bus. You can catch direct buses to both Blizzard Beach and the Boardwalk. You can also catch a bus to Downtown Disney where you can get connecting service to other resorts and parks.
