Making the Best out of Dating

Honestly, I will admit that I would hate to be back out on the dating scene right now. I can imagine with my age and two children it would not be as fun as it was in high school.

Many people feel the same way that I do about the hunt for that special someone. They want it to happen but without all of the hassle of bad dates and obnoxious pick-up lines. However, if you are single and available think of it as a time to explore your options. Try to make the best out of your situation and have some fun with your independence. After all you are the only one in control of your life.

The first step is to try to think positive. I often hear people who have been on the dating end of things for a while complain that all of the good ones are taken. Stop and ask yourself, “Are you taken?” “No.” So that proves that not all of the good ones are gone. Make it your mission to find that special someone.

Stop being so picky. While you may feel that it is a waste of time to date someone that you find less than perfect, you never know until you give him or her a chance. So what if he is not as romantic as you would like or if she does not have the body of your dreams. No one says that you have to get married after the first date or even have a second date for that matter. Try going just because someone thought enough to ask you.

Have fun with it. Even during the times of the worst date in the world, we can find some humor. No matter how bad the date gets just be thankful that you never have to have another date with the person.
