Celebrity Milestones: New Baby, New Job, New House

He’s heeeere!

The spawn of Usher has arrived.

R&B star Usher and his wife Tameka welcomed a baby boy on Monday night, according to his rep.

The baby boy named Usher Raymond V was born in Atlanta, Georgia at 9:55 p.m., and weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 oz., according to a statement by the singer.

News reports say Usher and his wife will take home their new bundle of joy sometime today.

The 29-year-old singer turned fragrance designer and his 36-year-old wife announced the pregnancy in June. The news was followed by a highly publicized cancelled wedding, which was followed by a secret vow exchange, and then a more lavish affair a few weeks later.

NEW JOB

Paulina Porizkova has a new gig. After getting the boot from the fourth season of “Dancing with the Stars” (she had the dubious distinction of being the first contestant to get eliminated) the Czech-born supermodel has landed on her feet… on the catwalk.

Well, near the catwalk anyway.

Porizkova is replacing current model Twiggy on “America’s Next Top Model.” According to show producers, the brunette beauty will begin her new role in the upcoming 10th season of the CW show.

According to the “Hollywood Reporter,” Twiggy is leaving the show due to scheduling conflicts.

Here’s hoping Porizkova will be kinder to the contestants on “America’s Top Model” than the “Dancing” judges were to her.

NEW HOUSE

Who wouldn’t love a new house?

My guess would be actress Charisma Carpenter. The star of TV’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” moved into her new abode after splitting from her husband of five years, Damian Hardy.

“They are separated and now living separately,” Carpenter’s rep confirmed to reporters yesterday.

The actress and Hardy have a 4-year-old son Donavan Charles.
