Oprah’s Favorite Things 2007 – Part 2

More of Oprah’s favorite things:

Claus Porto Soaps (Lafco New York)

These all-natural Shea butter bars have been made by the Claus Porto family for the past 117 years. It comes in 17 different scents, including honeysuckle and grapefruit fig. A set of 3 costs $42.

The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett

From Oprah’s Book Club Selection, this book is set in 12th century England and is about the quest to build the world’s greatest Gothic cathedral. It’s price is $24.95. Each copy given to Oprah’s audience was autographed.

Breville Ikon Panini Press (Williams-Sonoma)

This nifty gadget lets you make yummy paninis at home, but for $99.95, I wonder if I can do this with my George Foreman grill!

HDTV Refrigerator with Weather and Info Center (LG Electronics)

Yes, the price tag is $3,799, but I almost started drooling when I saw this. A fridge that has a LCD TV with a DVD hookup might just be a way for my husband to get me to stay in the kitchen! Oh, did I mention it also has 1,000 built-in recipes?

Ciao Bella Blood Orange Sorbetto

Maybe it is just me – I’ve never had one, but blood oranges just sounds so very unappetizing. But Oprah loves it ($4.99 per pint).

Rachel Pally Swing Turtleneck and Sailor Pants

Oprah lounges around in these, but I would have a problem “lounging” in a turtleneck that costs $141 and a pair of pants that cost $194. But then, I don’t have Oprah’s money either. The outfits come in purple, navy, teal, and brown.

Scrabble Premier Edition (Hasbro)

Stedman gave this to Oprah one Valentine’s Day and now she has added it to her list of favorite things. This game has a board with a mahogany finish and spins for ease of use. There is also a drawer to store everything. It is priced at $70.

United Artists 90th Anniversary Prestige Collection

This is a nice present for a movie buff if you have an extra $900 lying around. Okay, it only costs $869.98 and it includes 90 DVDs (including Oscar winners Annie Hall, Rocky, and West Side Story).

Shaklee Get Clean Starter Kit

This gift is eco-friendly, but also cleans and gets the spots out. Oprah says, “Get ready to go green!” The value of the kit seen on the show is $89.60.

O’s Guide to Life

In a bit of a self-serving plug, Oprah included her Guide to Life ($29.95), a compilation of some of her favorite articles from her magazine O. This is a perfect gift for any Oprah fan!

Josh Groban’s Noel CD

A CD of classic Christmas songs, this includes “The Christmas Song,” O Come All Ye Faithful,” and “Ave Maria.” Oprah says it is the Christmas CD every family should own.

You can find all these gifts and locations to purchase them on Oprah’s home page.

About Libby Pelham

I have always loved to write and Families.com gives me the opportunity to share my passion for writing with others. I work full-time as a web developer at UTHSC and most of my other time is spent with my son (born 2004). I love everything pop culture, but also enjoy writing about green living (it has opened my eyes to many things!) and health (got to worry about that as you get older!).
