There is a difference between work from home and work at home opportunities. Let’s discuss the former. You have probably heard of some of these opportunities, but have you ever given them serious consideration?
Many work from home opportunities involve direct sales including hosting sales parties at other people’s homes, but they are far more flexible than a 9 to 5 job. They provide training and support to help you get started and many provide the means to make a very healthy income. Remember, these companies make money when you make money, so they want you to succeed.
You also still get to work at your own pace and determine your own schedule, and the added benefit is that there are plenty of legitimate companies. Many part time sales representatives report that they earn far more than they would at a typical part time job.
You can even schedule sales parties for weekends only, which will still allow you to be home with your children during the week. Doing so may also help you avoid daycare costs, since your spouse or a relative may be able to stay with the kids on the weekend.
You might even have fun with it and enjoy getting out of the house and visiting with other grown ups!
Check these out:
Pampered Chef
Pampered Chef offers a great line of unique, high-end kitchen gadgets, accessories, and utensils, which are sold through parties called “cooking shows” that demonstrate Pampered Chef wares. Allowing potential customers to see and test the quality and performance helps sell the products.
Tupperware
Tupperware is also a good sales opportunity. You can earn money, free gifts, and other perks. Tupperware products are excellent quality and Tupperware parties are well known for being fun. The company says its consultants can earn $1,000 per month devoting just 4-6 hours each week to Tupperware parties.
Mary Kay Cosmetics
Another high quality line of products is Mary Kay Cosmetics. This opportunity also offers many incentive programs (like the well-known pink car) for highly productive managers. Mary Kay Cosmetics are excellent and the company is world-renowned.
Notes
Direct Sales is a line of work that can be extremely lucrative for the enterprising individual, but it may not be for everyone. It requires hard work, determination, good organization skills, and the ability to work well with other people. Many work from home opportunities also require a start up investment. In most cases, you will need to purchase a start up kit, but the investment should be minimal. You should be able to recoup your expenses after just one or two sales parties.
In some cases, you will be asked to add to your inventory from time to time, which can be beneficial, but be careful not to overdo it. You don’t have to own every product in the line up in order to make sales.
Good Luck!
