After a couple week hiatus due to health and travel issues, I’m finally resuming Week in Review duties. And if your life has been nuts like mine has lately, you’ll appreciate having a place to find a snapshot of the week’s articles for easy browsing. So sit back and enjoy catching up on what Aimee and I wrote on:

Another Shedding Season is Upon Us!
It may be the season for cider and eggnog, carols and presents, but as Aimee reminds us it’s also that time of year when our dogs get their heavier winter coats…and shed their summer ones.
Tuesday, December 4
There’s always a day off in here somewhere, and this time it came early in the week for Aimee and I.

Celebrating My One Year Anniversary as a Pets Blogger
I don’t know where the year has gone, but it’s sure been a fun one spent here at Families.com. (Maybe that’s why it went so fast. Isn’t that the saying: Time flies when you’re having fun?)
Reading Rabbits: Watership Down
Aimee made a wonderful reading suggestion for rabbit lovers (or animal lovers period) with this book by Richard Adams.

My Favorite Pet Blogs from the Past Year
It was hard to narrow it down…so I didn’t even try.
Aimee wrote an interesting article about a problem some villages in northeastern India are facing with elephants and their unique and humane approach to keeping them at bay.
It was finally decorating day at our house and Tabby had a blast helping me put up (and take right back down) garland, bows, and trees…things she’s never seen before.

Lead Paint a Concern in Pet Products Too?
The hype about the dangers of lead paint in children’s toys got me to thinking about the dangers of it to our four-legged fur kids.
Reading Felines: Tailchaser’s Song
Aimee had another book suggestion for people who love animal characters. This time is was a tale by Tad Williams.

What to Do if You’re Concerned about Lead Paint in Your Pet’s Products
From checking labels to buying a lead testing kit to switching to different bowls: there’s ways to protect your pet from lead paint lurking in their products.
Reading Rodents: Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
In what’s shaping up to be her “Reading” series, Aimee examined another book that was a hit before the big screen with animals as the main characters. This time it was a tale by Robert C. O’Brien.

Do You Kiss Your Pets Goodnight?
I do, because in Murph’s case he sometimes leaves me no choice.
